Drones set to deliver a package in the U.S. for the first time next month, but Amazon won't be involved

It looks like a drone will be delivering a package in the U.S. for the first time next month — but Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) won’t have anything to do with it. Instead, this milestone is likely going to belong to the Mid-Atlantic Aviation Partnership, a research consortium led by Virginia Tech.
