Man falls to death from crane at International Paper

A Georgia man was killed Monday night when he fell out of the back of a crane he had been driving at a International Paper Co. (NYSE: IP) facility in south Augusta. Richmond County Coroner Mark Bowen said Michael Hill, 44, f ell 50 to 70 feet before striking the ground, reports Augusta Chronicle. Hill’s body will go to the Georgia Bureau of Investigation for an autopsy. Occupational Safety and Health Administration is expected to start an investigation on Tuesday, reports Augusta’s WRDW-TV.
