Office Depot shareholders approve Staples deal

Office Depot shareholders have overwhelmingly approved the proposal for Staples to acquire the Boca Raton-based company. The shareholders voted in favor of the acquisition during the company's annual meeting, according to a preliminary vote count. Final vote counts are anticipated to be released in a regulatory filing on June 22.
