Amazon worth more than Walmart; Bezos makes $8 billion

Jeff Bezos woke up $8 billion richer Friday. The Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN) founder's stake in his company was worth more than $49 billion Friday after Amazon posted a surprise profit and the share price soared. Amazon was up nearly 15 percent in morning trading, with stocks selling for about $553 a share. The company's market cap is now $258 billion.
