Get out the wallet: Airlines are charging more fees than ever

If it feels like airlines are nickel and diming you to death, you are right. According to an annual study from IdeaWorksCompany and CarTrawler, ancillary fee revenue from additional charges for things like checked bags and changed reservations jumped 21 percent year over year to a record high of $38.1 billion.
